Get the hands-on training you need to bring amazing coding experiences to Grades 4 - 8 students during Computer Science EducatIon Week with this FREE workshop!
Computer Science Education Week is taking place the week of December 7 - 11 and it has never been a better year to get started with coding!
In this hands-on, interactive workshop we will be exploring how to use MakeCode Arcade to teach coding to Grade 4 - 8 through the creation of fully playable video games (yes, it's as awesome as it sounds!)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
By the end of this workshop, you'll have everything you need to lead an amazing Hour of Code experience with your students! We will explore a variety of different styles of mini-games that are fun and easy to create with students of all skill levels during Computer Science Education Week.
We will also make clear connections to the new Ontario Math Curriculum expectations as they relate to coding. Educators from across Canada are welcome to join; these curriculum expectations are easily implemented in any classroom nationwide!
No previous experience is necessary to join. The workshops will be run virtually through Microsoft Teams.
Can't make the session time? Register anyway and you can get a recording of the session afterward!
In order to participate, you will need access to a laptop with an internet connection.
