About this event

Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) are nurses whose education and practice have a focus on psychosocial, mental or emotional health. RPNs have advanced mental health assessment and intervention skills, and use these skills to care for people of all ages experiencing issues related to mental health, substance use or​ behavioural addictions.

In just 28 months (2.3 years), you’ll be prepared to write the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada Examination (RPNCE) and become a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.

  • Wages range from $35.53-$56.25/hour  
  • Articulation agreement with Thompson Rivers University (TRU) allows grads to complete a Bachelor of Health Sciences (online) after program completion

• LEARN ONLINE: This innovative program allows students to do the majority of their coursework as well as their clinical placements and practicum in their local communities.

• SPECIAL ACCESS FOR LPNs: Experienced LPNs are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for advanced standing (and reduced tuition) in the program.
