Do the trees have to be planted in Toronto? Do I have to be a resident of Toronto to order trees?

Yes. Because funding for this program comes from the City of Toronto, this program is limited to residents of Toronto and any trees ordered must be planted on private land within the City of Toronto. Please bring ID to verify your Toronto address.

Is there a limit to how many trees I can order?

Yes. Due to overwhelming demand, we are limiting orders to 6 trees per household.

Can you deliver or hold onto my tree after the event is over?

No. You must pick up your order during event hours. We are a small charity and we do not have the capacity to deliver or hold onto any trees after the event.

Not Far From the Tree is hosting a FREE native tree giveaway on Saturday, May 13th from 8 am to 1 pm during Evergreen’s Saturday farmers’ market!

To order your free trees, select "reserve a spot" above. We welcome donations!

Because funding for this program comes from the City of Toronto, this program is limited to residents of Toronto and any trees ordered must be planted on private land within the City of Toronto.

You must be able to pick up your trees during the event. We are unable to deliver nor hold onto the trees after the event.

The Neighborhood Tree Giveaway Program supports the City of Toronto’s goal of reaching a 40% tree canopy cover by 2050. The City of Toronto provides all trees, which are native to Toronto’s seed zone and suited for our urban environment.

A well-cared-for native tree is an amazing asset to the community for many years to come, and more edible trees increase our city's resilience and sustainability. Together we can care for Toronto’s tree canopy and grow our urban orchard.
