Space rentals are a significant revenue source that contributes to the sustainability of many creative organizations. Learning how to identify and connect with your space users and potential users is key to growing your renter audience – and your rental revenue potential.
In this half-day workshop, creative spaces will learn how to identify, target and engage with current and new renter audiences. Using case studies and examples from the sector, participants will learn how to determine their renter audience, use data to target renters and develop an outreach plan for their creative space rentals. In this participatory workshop, you will use group work, collective discussion and shared questions to spark new ideas on expanding your renter audience.
This workshop is for any arts professional looking to expand their current renter audience or just starting a space rental program.
Participants will learn:
- How to determine your rental audience
- How to use data and external resources to target renters
- How to use staffing and scheduling resources to maximize rentals
This is the first workshop is a two-part series of workshops on the topic of space rentals hosted by ArtsBuild Ontario in partnership with WorkInCulture. We will be announcing dates and locations for upcoming workshops in the New Year.
