Description

Steve Boudreau, piano

Suggested donation- $20

Steinway Piano Gallery Ottawa is pleased to provide our city with a wonderful monthly concert series, performed by local Ottawa artists. Our fall series will focus on our local jazz talent and will feature some of our best known artists: Steve Boudreau (September 21), Chris Maskell and Mark Ferguson (October 26), and John Dapaah (November 30).

Admission is pay what you can, however we do suggest a donation of $20 at the door.

One of the many ways that Steinway supports its community is by raising money in support of the Children's Aid Foundation of Ottawa. The purpose is to provide piano lessons for children in foster care who otherwise wouldn't get to experience the magic of creating music. The money raised at these concerts is used to provide lessons for these children.

September 21- Steve Boudreau

Steve Boudreau is an Ottawa-based pianist who specializes in jazz and popular music. He currently teaches piano privately and as part of Carleton University's Music Performance program. In 2010 he received a Master of Music degree in jazz performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston. He has toured North America with multiple musical productions and has performed as both leader and sideman at various Canadian jazz festivals. His recently released trio album "Preludes: The Music of George Gershwin" has been getting radio play on Canadian jazz stations and a new quartet record of original music entitled "Opus 2" is now out, with guitarist Garry Elliott, bassist Adrian Vedady and drummer Camil Belisle.
