Karla Pilgrim

Three time MusicNL award winner and two time ECMA nominee, Karla Pilgrim has spent the last 15 years winning over audiences from coast to coast. From performing for troops in The Middle East to opening multiple sold out shows for country music superstar Tim McGraw at the Mile One Stadium in St. Johns, NL, Pilgrim's experience as a performer knows no boundaires.

After years of playing shows, writing and travelling, Pilgrim released her award winning solo album 'I'll Think of You' in 2009. Riding the success of her first record Pilgrim was selected to open for Alan Jackson. She enlisted friends to join her for what would be three unforgettable nights. After rave reviews they did the only thing that made sense - form a band.

Karla Pilgrim, Terri Lynn Eddy and Renée Batten joined forces in 2010 as country vocal trio The Secrets. Since 2012 they have been taking their music across the country, including stops at Saskatchewan’s Ness Creek Folk Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Stan Rogers International Folk Festival, the World Pride Festival (Toronto), the Acoustic Maritime Music Festival, Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women and Song and Cavendish Beach Music Festival.

Following the much anticipated release of their Nashville recorded debut album 'Break Even', produced by Peter Daniel Newman in 2014, they have been touring year round and have made multiple trips across Canada and into the US. Karla is a constant in their song writing and creative process and continues to perform as a solo act as well as with duo partner of 17 years, Jackie Sullivan.

2019 has Pilgrim venturing into producing and recording new music with The Secrets while they take on marriage and motherhood.

Jerry Stamp

Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Jerry Stamp has had a rough go. In 2015 he was forced to lay down his guitar and step away from the microphone due to a painful and debilitating auto-immune disease. Up until then he was a prolific song-writing, incessantly-touring, record-producing, inexhaustible musical engine. 4 years later he is dipping his toe back in with the occasional performance; a test to see if he can get back out there again, or more aptly how often he can get back out there. With his catalogue of songs spanning 20+ years, 12 albums and thousands of kilometres toured, the hardest part is figuring out which of the glut of tunes will make it back into the set. Perhaps due to the time away Stamp’s classically trained voice is even more dynamic and intense than before. The perspective he has gained from being forced to quit what he loved and now being given the opportunity for an encore makes every performance extremely intimate and moving.
