Join LUSH Valley's staff in tending to the historic orchard at McPhee Meadows.
LUSH is always working to improve our food security in the comox valley and that can mean taking care of our already existing network for local fruit trees. We see the whole Comox Valley as a type of “community orchard” and we’re committed to helping maintain and care for it!
Assist the staff in restoring old apple trees. During this volunteer workparty we will work together to prune the trees and delve into the restoration of old large apple trees.
*Participants should bring their own secateurs, hand saws, and loppers, if they have them.
Date & Times: 2 times available - Saturday March 27th from 12pm to 1pm, or 1:30pm to 2:30pm
*Times are staggered to allow for smaller groups.
Location: McPhee Meadows (Corner of 3rd & Harmston) Courtenay, BC
Covid protocols will be followed including mandatory masks, social distancing, tool sanitization, and limited numbers.
