Join Shopify Plus and Hive Waterloo Region for a morning of free, fun, engaging, and low-pressure activities geared towards kids of all ages and parents who want to learn and play with interesting technologies. Unwind with a coffee while your children enjoy interesting and educational activities like colouring tables, tech-focused activities for toddlers, hands-on coding lessons from Shopify employees, and more:

• “Offline” learn to code and colouring table - this activity will let kids play, colour, etc. all while learning the principles of coding (for younger children)

• "App" building - design your own iPad apps using POP (prototype on paper) then go to the Learn to code table to create it

• Learn to code table - laptops with free online tools including Scratch, Hour of Code, Thimble, etc., as well as tablets with Lightbot and Scratch Jr. **Note: if you have your own laptop, please bring it with you.**

• Virtual reality (ages 4+)

• Office tours - get a tour of the Shopify Waterloo office and learn a little about what we do here

Shopify employees will be here to answer any questions you might have about Shopify and Shopify Plus. Activities are free and open to kids of all ages. Short-term childcare provided, but parents must stay at the event.
