Event description

Description

This third installment of Waterfront Toronto’s FUTURE CITIES talk series is hosted in collaboration with author and placemaker, Jay Pitter. As a powerful proponent of inclusive city-building, Pitter transforms the Toronto Reference Library’s Bram and Bluma Appel Salon into a more “homey” space that she describes as her public living room. Pitter invites a diverse range of speakers sharing music, personal narratives, and design expertise, this creative conversation promises to uncover the intimate nature of our city’s housing challenges.

FUTURE CITIES draws on a diverse and interdisciplinary cast of experts, innovators, and community leaders who are known for pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo. We invite them to present big ideas that address topics, challenges, intersecting critical themes, and questions that Toronto and other major metropolises are facing as they continue to grow, densify, and diversify.

This edition of FUTURE CITIES is presented in partnership with Toronto Public Library
