G2R Performs the Music of Genesis
G2R performs the music of Genesis!
Join us for a fantastic show of Genesis' music - featuring your favourite hits and album tracks from the 70s and the 80s!
With arrangements based on the 2007 final world tour, from intricate progressive rock instrumentals to finely-honed pop hits, we'll have something for everyone: the casual listeners as well as the Superfans! Whether you're in love with The Lamb, or enjoy grooving along to songs from Invisible Touch, we've got you covered!

And because the Jazz Room is such an intimate venue, you can get closer than you've ever been to this music. (No, we're not playing "jazz versions" of the songs... the Jazz Room is just a great venue to play in!)
Attention Genesis Superfans:
We will be performing the entire show twice (yes, all the same songs!)... Why not treat yourself to an afternoon and evening of Genesis, with a dinner break in between? This music doesn't come around all that often. If you want to see some of your favourites performed live TWICE in one night, you can make it happen! See the FAQs for how to get a $5 dinner discount as a thank-you for coming to BOTH shows!
Will there be food and beer?
Absolutely! The bar and kitchen will be open from 3:00 PM until after the show, with table service before, during and after the shows. Order a locally-brewed (or distilled, or fermented) beverage... it'll go well with the steak! Early show attendees are welcome to stay until 6:15 PM to finish dinner... or buy a ticket to the late show too and stay as long as you want!
What's this Superfan Dinner Package?
It's our thank-you for coming to both shows, and bringing someone along with you! Take in our early show with your friend or loved one, enjoy a delicious dinner in the Jazz Room (we recommend the schnitzel!), and stay for our late show... and get $5 off your combined dinner bill! Just send us an email at info@G2R.ca to let us know you'd like the $5 discount coupon, and when you arrive, just present your 4 tickets to receive one $5-off voucher. Please note that the voucher is only valid in the Jazz Room on September 29th.
So as an example: Fred and Mary decide they're both coming to both shows (2 early and 2 late show tickets purchased between them). They have dinner at the Jazz Room, and it comes to $40 after tax between the two of them. That will be reduced to $35 with the voucher. If that's not clear enough, please email info@G2R.ca and we'll talk you through it.
When do doors open?
Doors open at 3:00 PM for afternoon show ticket holders, and at 6:30 PM for evening show ticket holders.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No. This is an all-ages event, though the serving staff may ask for ID if you order alcohol. Standard bar stuff.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Jazz Room is on King Street in Uptown Waterloo, right at Princess. On Sunday afternoons and evenings, there is often street parking available nearby. The Main branch of Waterloo Public Library's parking lot is about a 5-minute walk away, and Waterloo Town Square's parking is less than a 10-minute walk away.
Can I take pictures or video at the show?
Absolutely! But no flash photography during the show, please; it's disruptive to everyone.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Email us at info@G2R.ca
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. Just hand your ticket to someone else if you like. If you arranged for the Superfan Dinner Package, please contact us at info@G2R.ca
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. Please. We may not have your name listed down, and we need to check you against our list.
