About this event
Galentine’s Day, an alternative to Valentine’s Day, is a day to gather with your friends, single or not, female or male, and celebrate the love all around you, not just the love of romantic relationships. The official date is February 13th, but you can celebrate any time in February.
It originated in an episode of Parks and Recreation titled “Galentine’s Day (Season 2, Episode 16). Leslie played by Amy Poehler throws a brunch party celebrating her female friends. The episode aired in 2010 and was seen by 4.98 million viewers. Hence, Galentine’s Day was born.
For a fun activity, I’ve invited Tarot Card Reader, Ilona Arends, to come and do a card pull and reading for each participant.
Ilona will give a very brief chat about the cards and how she uses them, and then she'll pull one card for each person who would like a reading. She'll look at the card and talk about its possible meanings, and together you'll determine the one that applies to you.
