Game of Snow will gather freestyle skiers and snowboarders to compete for a total value of $20,000 prizes from over ten sponsors, including Grouse Mountain, Nitro, L1 Premium Goods, Insta360, Aline Sports, OutdoorMaster, etc. We welcome riders from all skill levels to join us under the following six categories: men's snowboard, women's snowboard, kids' snowboard, ski freestyle, snowboard ground tricks, and snowboard team 3 vs 3.

There will be 3 rounds of competitions. The first round is an online preliminary, which requires you to share your best trick video on Instagram and submit it to the event committee. Anyone who submitted their first round of video can participate in the second qualifications round at Grouse Mountain. Game of Snow 2022 judges will score qualifications round based on difficulty, style, and overall impression. The top 4 players from each category will be invited to participate in the finals. The final round will follow the traditional "Game of Snow" rules with minor tweaks. The players who can complete their opponents' tricks and throw harder tricks that their opponents' could not do will win the game. The winners will receive grand prizes, including Nitro snowboards, bindings, boots, HEAD skis, 22/23 Y2Play passes, Insta360 ONE x2 and Go 2 cameras, L1 jackets, OutdoorMaster goggles, and more.

All contestants can receive gifts and related coupons worth over $200 and a chance to win Insta360 ONE x2 camera, Insta360 Go 2 camera, or SmallRig Video Kit.

Rules & Submissions

Round 1: Preliminary (Online)

After purchasing your entrance ticket, submit your best tricks video on Instagram with an opening shoutout to "Game of Snow 2022", remember to @snowly.ca and #GOS2022 in order to be eligible for entering the next round and lucky draw. Then, send your video link to info@snowly.ca with a subject "GOS2022 - YOUR FULL NAME / TEAM NAME ON TICKET".

Submission Deadline Extends to March 15th, 2022

Round 2: Qualification Runs (Offline @ Grouse Mountain)

All players who submitted their videos will be invited to our offline qualifications with dedicated features and jumps at Grouse Parks in the morning of the final dates. Game of Snow 2022 judges will score qualification runs based on difficulty, style, and overall impression. Top 4 players from each category will move on to the finals in the afternoon.

Round 3: Game of Snow Finals (Offline @ Grouse Mountain)

The offline finals will follow the traditional "Game of Snow" rules with minor tweaks. The players who can complete their opponents' tricks and throw harder tricks that their opponents' could not do will win the game. Top 3 players from each categories will win the grant prizes and Game of Snow medals.

Do I need to purchase a lift ticket if I enrolled in Game of Snow 2022?

Yes, Game of Snow entry fees do not include Grouse Mountain lift tickets. You still need to purchase your lift ticket from Grouse Mountain.

Can I get a discount on lift ticket if I enrolled in Game of Snow 2022?

Yes, you will get 10% OFF on the Grouse Mountain lift ticket, 3-Day pass and Y2Play pass. Please reach out to info@snowly.ca to get the discount code.

Do I need to fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate?

If you were born in 2009 or earlier, you have to prove that you are fully vaccinated to participate in the final rounds on March 20th, 26th, and 27th and follow all related requirements from Grouse Mountain. For more info, please visit https://www.grousemountain.com/safety-risk-awareness

For the online preliminary, can I upload a video clip from any mountain?

Yes, we welcome anyone from any city to join the online preliminary. Feel free to upload a video clip from any mountain. However, if you are selected to join the offline final round, you have to follow the travel restrictions and Game of Snow won't be responsible for your travel documents and expenses.

Do I need to purchase Game of Snow ticket to watch?

No. You only need to have Grouse Mountain lift ticket to participate as a spectator.
