About this Event
GameCamp Edmonton's monthly events are open to all professional, indie, hobbyist, student, and aspiring game developers, as well as people who are working in other technology and creative fields and are interested in learning more about the game development industry in Alberta.
These monthly events will feature a different speaker or set of speakers every month, sharing their expertise on a specific topic and answering questions from the community. This month we are excited to welcome Victoria Grainger, the Founder and CEO of Wellness Works Canada, who will be speaking on and answering questions about Harnessing Resilience During Covid-19 For Greater Health and Productivity.
This talk is being hosted on Zoom. After the talk and following Q&A, please feel free to join us on the Alberta Game Developers Discord Server for networking, mingling, and catching up with the community! Both this talk and the server are open for anyone to attend.
Harnessing Resilience During C-19 For Greater Health and Productivity:
Join an interactive session to get inspired and learn tips and tricks to be resilient, healthy, and productive while working during C-19. At the end of the session you will have achieved the following outcomes:
- Ability to define and understand stress on a continuum
- Ability to define and understand key skills for resilience
- Be able to recognize early signs and symptoms of distress in self and others
- Have a personal action plan filled with tools and techniques to use at work and home to improve overall well-being, resilience and productivity
About the Speaker:
Victoria Grainger, MBA, BPE, PTS, HWL
Victoria is the Founder and CEO of Wellness Works Canada, a non-profit national association that supports workplace health practitioners and employers in building healthy, high performing work cultures. She has worked in the field of workplace health for over 15 years, and prior worked in health promotion and population health. She has worked with countless public, not-for-profit and private organizations in developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive workplace culture strategies (both in and outside of OHS) while advocating for the profound impact well-being has on performance. She has a Master’s in Business Administration specializing in workplace health and performance, a Bachelor of Physical Education specializing in health promotion, and is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition and Weight Loss Coach.
