Seed Starting & Transplants
Heritage Farm ~ Down to Earth Workshop

Students learn, hands on, how to start their own garden and landscape plants from seed. Learn the cultural requirements to care for your plants, how to set up grow lights, greenhouse ideas and transplant techniques for northern gardening. Students will be taking home 18 varieties of heritage plants. All nursery supplies, seeds and resources are included.

Zone 2 Gardening - Raised Beds and Companion Planting

Students learn hands on how to build a raised bed. New gardeners learn how easy it can be to start a small garden, with little weeding and time commitment. Experience gardeners will also learn how to be creative with rock beds and landscape design. Working with Heritage Seeds, this class explores direct seeding and companion planting techniques for northern zone 2 gardening.

Students learn how to organically amend their garden or greenhouse soil to promote healthy happy plants. This session also includes information on composting, disease and pest control, as well as holistic gardening techniques to attract pollinators to your landscape.
