Event description
This 2 day x 2 hour long (for a total of 4 hours) indoor gardening event for kids, will be hosted by Calgary's "Natural Gardener".

About this Event

On March 14th from 10am-noon, and again on March 28th, same time, Chelsie will teach your 7-13 year old child how to get their hands in the dirt and get their veggie patch started.

On day 1 we will look into crazy seeds and what they turn into, build a small model of a self watering growing system to be taken home, and will start some plants from various plant parts. Time permitting, we will also squeeze in some micro green growing.

On day 2 we will dive into vermiculture (an indoor worm composting system) and why it's a great organic additive to your garden, we will mix up a big batch of potting soil on site (including worm castings), transplant tomatoes, and seed some "cold crop" veggies to be brought home, and eventually transplanted into an outdoor bed.

Chelsie uses a natural and organic approach to gardening, as well as an environmentally sensitive approach to everything she teaches. This very hands-on event will keep your child engaged and wanting to learn more!
