Ethel Whitty has been the Director of the Carnegie Community Centre since January 2005. She wears a second hat as Director of Services for the Homeless for the City of Vancouver. Previous to 2005 she oversaw programs developed for inner city communities through Family Services of Greater Vancouver. She is a UBC graduate with a Masters in Social Work.
The conversation focuses on the origin of the Centre in community action and ongoing relations between City of Vancouver and Neighbourhood.
