Event description

Description

Natural Resources Canada launched an initiative from spring to fall 2017 called Generation Energy. The goal of this initiative is to engage citizens across Canada on the topic of Canada’s long term energy future. This meaningful dialogue will look at how to overcome the challenges of supporting a low carbon and affordable energy future for Canadians.

In collaboration with SNC-Lavalin, NRCan, and McMaster Undergraduate Energy Society, McMaster University will be hosting “Pathways To A Low Carbon Future” on September 27, 2017. Held on campus at University Club, this workshop aims to engage the millennial population from diverse educational backgrounds, in dialogue about the future of energy, and the role we play in it. The workshop will consist of presentations and discussions around carbon emissions, energy generation, the government's role, emerging low carbon technology, and much more. All dialogue will be compiled into one report and sent to Natural Resources Canada, to serve as guidance for future government decisions.Register soon and get ready to impact Canada’s future!
