Get Oceanside outdoor activity challenge by AMBA and Quidi Vidi Brewing Co. is back!
About this event
The Avalon Mountain Bike Association (AMBA) and Quidi Vidi Brewing Co. are pumped to bring back the Get Oceanside outdoor activity challenge this year from August 15-21! Here’s how it works:
- You register for a minimum of $20
- You get active outdoors every day you can from August 15-21
- You win prizes
- If you’re 19+, enjoy Quidi Vidi’s NEWEST Oceanside beer, a Session IPA!
- Come celebrate a Get Oceanside event at Quidi Vidi Brewing Co. tap room hosted by Quidi Vidi Brewing Co. and AMBA on August 22
- AMBA will donate all the proceeds of registration fees to the Bikes for Good program at The Gathering Place
Any additional proceeds raised from this event go towards the St. John’s Pump Track next to Quidi Vidi Lake!
Last year, we donated $5,000 to The Gathering Place and received over $4,000 from sponsors and donors towards AMBA’s initiatives. Please donate what you can when you register, but it’s a minimum $20 registration fee to qualify for prizes.
To participate in the Get Oceanside challenge, all you have to do is get outside, get active and share your photos or your fitness tracker app log via email or on our Get Oceanside Facebook event page. We’ll have daily prizes, challenge prizes and grand prizes. LOTS OF GREAT PRIZES ARE UP FOR GRABS AGAIN THIS YEAR!

The Bikes for Good program at The Gathering Place offers bike repair and maintenance services from a skill-sharing framework. The service aims to distribute donated bikes to the Guests of The Gathering Place and to provide resources to the Guests to help maintain their bikes. This program will help Guests of The Gathering Place learn new skills and to gain independence to move around our community with more ease. AMBA is excited to be supporting this cycling-related initiative again this year as it keeps the Gathering Place's Guests socially connected and mobile to increase their quality of life.
Please drink responsibly.
