Elaine Ann: Founder & CEO of Kaizor Innovation

Elaine is a veteran of the early dot-com era in the mid 90's having lived and worked in the U.S. for 12 years. She has worked for companies such as Razorfish, Philips Design, Henry Dreyfuss in New York and Silicon Valley and have designed the User Experiences of some of the very early Internet/technology businesses such as Schwab.com, Intuit's Quicken, Philips Networked Home etc.

With over 20+ years of experience in User Experience/Design Thinking, Elaine has helped many Tech companies: Google, Facebook/Meta, Airbnb, Dropbox, Intel, HP, Siemens, Motorola, BMW etc.

Elaine also helps Tech Startups as their Fractional CXO (Chief Xperience Officer) with their Product-Market Fit Strategy and Customer Discovery/Validation: www.CXO.kaizor.com. She is also a Mentor at the Founder Institute Western Canada. She has helped many Tech Startups over the years including GoAnimate (now Vyond), MiCai Robo Advisor, Wisers, Floatti, Xctuality, G-Lab, MEZ Innovation, UpCyko, RedEgg, Kontech and recently with several Web3/Metaverse companies. The most successful exit has been Vyond (previously GoAnimate - a SaSS platform that makes it easy for anyone to create 2D animations) which was a one person Tech Founder startup back in 2006 where we helped defined the product/UX strategy, is now a company valued at US$150M with 12 million users and 187 employees.

She currently also organizes a UX community in Vancouver (IxDA - Interaction Design Association Vancouver) with 1000 members on Facebook/Meetup Group.

Alanah Lam: Founding Product Designer of Future Primitive

Alanah is a multi-hyphenate designer based on the unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territories known as “Vancouver”. She’s worked with a variety of clients: from local organizations such as Meet Restaurants and Ethos Lab, to talented creatives like Sean Brown and Jeff Staple, and web3 endeavours with STAPLEVERSE, bb3, and RefractionDAO. She is currently a founding designer at Future Primitive, a new venture studio that creates experimental token communities.

She holds a B.A. in Psychology from SFU and is driven by a design philosophy to challenge the norms of digital behaviour. Lastly, she is a strong proponent of “chasing creative pursuits” as she is also a self-taught designer
