Sponsored by MTS Stories from Home, "Outside the Perimeter" is a collection of made-in-Manitoba documentaries that highlight two different artists that produced much of their work in rural Manitoba, and certainly outside that traditional arts industry.

Synopsis
A Manitoba folk painter and sculptor tried unsuccessfully for nearly 10 years to will his land, sculptures and 500 paintings to the province of Manitoba. Folk and outsider art is universally celebrated …..except in Manitoba, where it is considered disposable, or in the case of Interlake artist Armand Lemiez and the assessment by the provincial Minister of Culture, "to have no cultural value".

The Private Lives of Wild Creatures is about polar bears, great gray owls and how Robert Taylor followed his passion for the outdoors.

A pioneer of eco-tourism, Robert Taylor explored and guided for over sixty years taking photographs that have helped define our nation, shape public opinion, and capture imaginations.



We recommend you line up in the ticket line 30 mins before screening. Please be seated 15 mins before start of film. We will fill all seats if you are a no show or late. Rush seating. At the theatre door, please present your ticket on your smart phone or print your ticket. Pass holders must present both GFF Pass and ticket AND THE NAME/PHOTO ON THE PASS AND TICKET MUST MATCH.
