Description

Join in on the holiday cheer for one gigantic, heartwarming donation of coats and toys! Santa Claus will be collecting donations at "Santa's Workshop" with Dick’s Lumber’s "elves" and Westerra’s "Excavating Sleigh!" Wow!

Sounds like the holidays? Live music will be provided by the talented Bach Children's Choir. This is our second year sponsoring our festive our Gingerbread Cookie Decorating Station. This year is going to be bigger then ever with the the visit of our new Gingerbread Man Mascot as shown in the image above. Who from TQ could it be? You'll have to join us on the 30th to find out! We thank our local Burnaby co-sponsor Snow Cap who is stocking our stations for sweet success!

With over 38 years of experience in bakery and food service supply, Snow Cap Enterprises Ltd. is one of BC's leading distributors warehousing over 4,500 stocked items for baking! Snow Cap is headquartered in Burnaby near Market Crossing and is a family owned company with a long-standing reputation! Snow Cap sponsors the gingerbread goodies at our table — we are proud to have them on board another year.

Please note, this is a free event! Gingerbread decorating and hot chocolate will be available until supplies last. Be sure to bring your kids and spread the word! Simply let us know that you are coming - or register for free on Event Brite to get tickets! Invite your friends, tell your neighbours and bring some warm coats for families in need this November 30th! We hope to see you at Santa's Workshop — RSVP early so we can stock our stations for your enjoyment! Contact Rikki at (604) 430-9900 for more information.

The Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (GVHBA) is launching its 23rd annual Coats for Kids campaign in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and Surrey Christmas Bureau, two groups whose many initiatives help to provide a brighter Christmas for families in need.

The Coats for Kids collection campaign runs from November 1st to November 30th. TQ Construction will be providing a drop location at our office in South Burnaby for new and gently used coats, scarves, gloves and blankets. If you can't make it between 9am to 5pm during Monday to Friday, give as a call and we'll arrange a pick up for your donation. The greatest need is coats and jackets for tweens and teens ages 12 to 18 years old. While some teens fit adult sizing, we suggest coats that appeal to their age group hooded coats are very popular!

New, unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages are also welcome and greatly appreciated! Art supplies, hockey sticks, soccer and basketballs are always a hit! On average, over 3,500 items are collected by about 60 GVHBA member companies across 14 communities. We applaud the GVHBA for 23 years of continuous effort and dedication to this cause! Check out their Flickr album to see last year's donation wrap-up party!
