Global Energy Outlook 2019

Canada 2020 | February 26th, 2019 | 3:30 - 5:00 PM | The Westin (Governor General Ballroom)

On February 26th, Canada 2020 will host its annual Global Energy Outlook for 2019 in Ottawa.

Canada's energy sector stands at a crucial inflection point.

As renewable energy sources become cost competitive and widely adopted, Canada's energy sector is undergoing deep transformations in response to a shifting global energy market. As a result, the pending transition to a low carbon economy presents real and pressing policy opportunities and challenges.

To help guide this important conversation, and situate Canada's energy issues in a broader context, Canada 2020 will be joined by Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, and the Hon. Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Natural Resources.

Dr. Birol was named by Forbes Magazine as one of the most influential people on the world’s energy scene and was recognized by the Financial Times as energy personality of the year in 2017.

More panelists and presenters to be announced in the coming days.

Registration is free and open to the public.
