About this event
ShiftKey Labs is partnering with Dalhousie University and Ubisoft Halifax to host the first edition of the Global Game Jam here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You can think of it as a weekend-long hackathon focused on game development around a theme. You'll have time to work on your game, and you'll have access to exciting tutorials to build your skills, support from expert mentors, and the chance to win cool prizes! At the end of the weekend, you are encouraged to upload your game to the Global Game Jam platform.
Please note that this event is for people currently residing in Nova Scotia only.
The event will take place in the Goldberg Computer Science building of Dalhousie University (6050 University Avenue, B3H 1W5). Participation fee, $5. All meals will be included.

Entrepreneurially-minded students gain additional access to mentorship and financial supports specifically aimed at advancing potential startup ideas.
