Why reliability and scalability are the key to scaling any underground mining operation

Mark Palmer, General Manager Product Management & Marketing, MST Global

What we take advantage of on the surface isn’t readily available underground like line of sight, access to quality air and how you communicate with your personnel. With many looking to expand their surface operations underground its easy to assume that continuing your surface technology into the underground makes the most sense. And with many protocols and standards in the market and on the horizon it’s no easy feat choosing what’s the right technology now and into the future. Join us to go through various technology options and the best use of their application specifically built for the underground.About Mark: Mark joins MST Global as the General Manager, Product Management & Marketing with a wealth of knowledge across Electrical Engineering, Product Management and Marketing. Which has seen him scale the Engineering and Product Management world by taking many leadership roles such as Chief Engineer and International Product Management, Strategic Channel Management and National Marketing Management.

Early on in Mark’s career he focused on the design and implementation of power distribution systems, and control and automation.

Mark spent many years with one of Australia’s largest energy providers, Origin, in which he took on senior leadership roles across Product Management, Sales and Marketing. Mark has a keen interest in commercialising global products and services.
