Event description

Description

Passion to Reach Ministries is excited to invite you to the inaugural GO United young adult conference on September 21st, 2019. The theme for this year's conference is Unashamed. GO United 2019 will feature Pastor and Author Mark Clark and apologist Tim Barnett as they encourage young adults to not be ashamed of the gospel.

The Canadian cultural landscape has experienced a massive shift away from the gospel. We need an army of young Christians who are unashamed and willing to boldly proclaim their faith in every sphere of their life. GO United seeks to create an environment where young adults can unite with their peers, ignite their passion and learn practical strategies for living out their faith. It’s time for a generation of young adults to stop hiding and instead be confident in their call to live out the gospel.

Mark Clark

At 36, Mark Clark is the lead pastor of one of the largest and fastest-growing churches in Canada. Mark, along with his wife Erin and an amazing team of people, planted Village Church in January 2010 with 50 people. It has now grown into a vibrant multi-site church in the Greater Vancouver Area with over 4000 people with over 900 baptized in the first 6 years. He is passionate about contextualizing the gospel, teaching the Bible, seeing people transformed by Jesus, planting churches, and seeing the gospel advance across Canada. His book The Problem of God has had tremendous traction with tens of thousands being sold across North America.

Tim Barnett

Tim Barnett is a dynamic speaker who provides a perfect blend of expertise and humor in each talk. Tim trains Christians to think clearly about what they believe and why they believe it. Tim's passion and energy will help motivate you to love God with all your mind. Tim has worked as a professional teacher since 2008, employed in both the private and public sector. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from York University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Tim also has a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Southern Evangelical Seminary.
