Description
Go Wild: Youth for Conservation is a youth leadership workshop that strives to engage youth in conservation initiatives and to inspire future environmental stewardship. Participants who attend this multi-day, hands-on workshop will not only develop their leadership skills but will also learn how to lead local conservation projects and make a positive impact in their community!
In addition to various inter-active and hands-on activities throughout the Lower Mainland, this camp-style workshop includes classroom discussion, guest speakers, group work, career preparation, a BBQ lunch, prizes, swag and a whole lot of fun!
Each day of Go Wild will have different activities under the theme of "ACRES of Conservation".

C – Connection to the Land
R – Restoration from Invasive Species
E – Education of Sustainable Actions
S – Tied together through Leadership Strategies.

Price: $40 ($400 value!)

Dates: August 6 - 9, 2013 (Tuesday to Friday, inclusive)
Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm daily
Location: The daily drop-off/pick-up location is Holland Park in Surrey, located on Old Yale Road, just steps form the King George and Surrey Central Skytrain Stations. From there, participants will travel via charter bus to their daily field trip destinations.
What to Bring: Participants are asked to dress in comfortable clothes and footwear, suitable for the weather and outdoor activities. Bring a bagged lunch and a water bottle with you each day (except for Thursday, when a BBQ lunch will be supplied!)
