Jazz trumpeter Patrick Tevlin swings by St. Andrew’s Church once again, to headline another exuberant evening of traditional jazz, spirituals and New Orleans street-beat music. Joining the master showman will be his band The Happy Pals featuring pianist Jordan Klapman.

Audience participation is welcome tonight! Join the traditional parades (beads provided at the door). Sing along or dance to classic songs such as Jambalaya, Down by the Riverside and When the Saints Go Marching In.

What audiences have said about our Mardi Gras concerts...Complex, joyous, authentic ensemble-playing... Vintage traditional jazz in the Six— a welcome sound and sight! Fantastic concert, great choice of music, exceptionally talented musicians

On his first trip to New Orleans in 1978, Patrick Tevlin heard and met trumpet great Kid Thomas Valentine and promptly fell in love with the New Orleans style. Patrick leads groups performing in the Toronto area and around the world, including The Happy Pals New Orleans Party Orchestra and the Magnolia Brass Band, which performs regularly at the New Orleans French QuarterFestival. Patrick lives in Toronto, but his soul resides in NewOrleans.
