Luxurious, super chunky knit blankets to snug away on the couch or bed this winter season. Hot cocoa and a fireplace, anyone? Your blanket will be made from 100% Merino wool, by YOU! As seen on the likes of Pinterest and Instagram, in this 2.5 hour workshop you will create a beautiful chunky knit blanket.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions

As of right now, all of our workshops are virtual over Zoom. You will be instructed as to where to pick up your wool as the workshop approaches. Due to shipping delays and timing, ALL workshops close enrolment within 4 weeks of the workshop so we have time to order the wool.

SO...What is the difference between Merino & Chenille wool?

Merino wool is a natural fibre grown from the Merino sheep. It’s softer than regular wool – making it easy to wear on your skin. Merino wool is the finest and softest wool available in the world, which makes it one of the most premium fibres. It is a raw and natural product that is biodegradable and fire resistant. That makes these blankets super sustainable! And that makes us, and our earth, happy. They will last a lifetime with proper care due to the premium quality!

OR...

Alternatively, we also offer Chenille wool. Chenille is also super soft and a great alternative to Merino. It is slightly less expensive and has a different texture. The yarn is commonly manufactured from cotton, but can also be made using acrylic. Note that it is a great yarn, though you will get a slightly thinner and stretchier knit blanket!

• 2 hour Chenille Blanket workshop is $100.00 + hst

What Is Included?

All blanket workshops include:

• Cheese & cracker charcuterie board instructional box (to make at home)
• Learn the foundations of knitting by hand in 2 hours
• All materials and supplies included
• Colour selection of your wool, up to 3 colours to choose from
• Your own handmade chunky knit wool blanket (30*50 inches)

Workshop Policies -- the legal jargon and fun stuff!

• Because of the nature of raw Merino wool, some shedding and/or piling is completely normal and to be expected.
• 100% product guarantee. If your blanket wool/yarn breaks, Clarissa will send you a brand new one within 2 weeks of claim approval. All claims must be emailed to clarissa@goldenhourco.com for approval. Approval process takes 24-48 hours upon receipt of claim.
• Must be 19+ years or older to have alcoholic beverages. Proof of ID must be present. Underage attendees will receive a $5 credit back at door.
• Cancellation policy: Due to the nature of the wool having to be imported and purchased 4-5 weeks prior to the workshop, a full refund will only be issued for cancellations within 24 hours of ticket purchase. 30% refund for cancellations within 3-5 days of workshop. No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of workshop or no-shows. Must give written notice to approve refund.

• In the event of an emergency or illness, ticket transfers are allowed but must be called in or sent via email to clarissa@goldenhourco.com. Cancellation and warranty policy applies to new ticket holder. New ticket holder must be able to present ticket at the door.

• No date transfers available after 72 hours before event. If you would like to switch dates, please do so prior to the 72 hour mark.
• Any cancellation refunds will be processed within 48 hours after the workshop.
• A minimum of 4 ppl per workshop is required to run the workshop. If workshop attendance is not sufficient, alternative dates will be suggested to you, and your ticket will be moved to that day.
• Do not wash blankets in washing machine or dryer as this will compromise the quality of the wool. Hand wash, cold only.
