Good Grief Tours

SOLD OUT. On Saturday, October 27, explore funeral traditions and rituals throughout history on this unique guided tour through Moreston Heritage Village. Participate in a toast (and a prank) during a lively 1850s Irish Wake. Formally prepare for the serious business of death with a Victorian family in the 1880s. Learn about the evolution of mourning through the Great War and the 20th century. Hear tales of Grey County ghost stories, and keep watch for loose spirits in the village!

Each tour is limited to 20 guests, so advance ticket purchases are strongly recommended. Six tour times are available:

This event covers mature themes and so is not recommended for children. This is an outdoor walking tour. Please dress for the weather. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact us prior to purchasing tickets.

Non-member tour guest price: $8

Grey Roots Member tour guest price: $5

If you choose the Grey Roots Member rate, please be prepared to show your valid Grey Roots membership card along with your ticket on admission. Those without a Grey Roots membership card, including reciprocal members, must pay the non-member price of $8.
