You don’t have to be a techie to really understand how your website is performing, and how to improve it. Google Analytics is a free tool that tells you how visitors are using your website: what they find useful and what they ignore.
In this hands-on workshop limited to 12 attendees, we will make sure you have installed and configured Analytics properly on your website and then move beyond measuring 'page views' and 'site visits' to get more meaningful data about how to improve your website.
In this session we will cover:
- Introduction to the Google Analytics interface
- Finishing your Google Analytics installation and configuration
- Your Key Performance Indicators
- Running Reports
NOTE: You will need to do a basic installation of Google Analytics on your website at least one day before the start of this session. You can find out how here, ask the person who maintains your website to do it for you or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Workshop resources include checklists, places to learn more and quick things you can do to make the most of these tools.
Who should attend
This is a workshop for non-technical people interested in improving their web communications. Anyone who has a website, blog, email newsletter, or social media campaign that they suspect could be better designed, better written or could get more visitors should attend.
