Event description

Description

You know you have to revise your constitution and bylaws to be compliant with the new BC Societies Act. When you opened up that conversation, all kinds of other questions emerged…“What’s the impact of the new legislation on how we operate as a board and as an organization?” “Should our senior manage be a Director and what does that actually mean?” “Should the members elect the Officers or should the members elect the directors and the directors elect the Officers?”

If you’re asking yourself these types of governance question – join us at one of our ‘Governance Salons’. We’ll have you send questions in advance, we’ll address the themes that emerge with ‘factual’ answers, and we’ll explore approaches that will help you make decisions that best suit the culture and capacity of your organization.

NOTE: This session is part of the BC Societies Act workshop series.
