Exploring Liquids + Buoyancy & Boats - 6:00pm

Are you looking for experiment ideas that will make a splash? Would you like to sink deeper into understanding the nature of liquids? Have your own Eureka! moment as you investigate the connection between density, fluid displacement and buoyancy. Ed Kusmirski, a passionate engineer and educator, will guide you through exciting hands-on demonstrations and share ideas that will bring confidence to your teaching.

Magnetism - 7:15pm

Discover the mysteries of magnets and explore innovative ways to teach hypothesis testing, polarity and "magnetization". Jeffrey Newton, a scientist and outreach specialist, will have you experimenting with magnetic strength, building a compass and detecting this invisible force field. Build your science knowledge and explore magnetic activities that are sure to attract your students.
