Wetlands are some of the world’s most productive and unique ecosystems! Learn from Joelle Chille Cale, Citizen Science Coordinator at the Alberta Biomonitoring Institute, to find out why she’s passionate about marshes, swamps, bogs and fens. Explore the types of wetlands found in Alberta, their important values and their unique biodiversity. Build confidence in teaching this topic and get students excited about the natural world around them. Classroom activities and resources will be provided along with a whole 'slough' of fresh ideas.
