Are you ready to bring real-world design challenges into your classroom? Build confidence in the engineering process and develop your understanding of the forces that impact strength and stability. Lisa Roth, a learning strategist and enthusiastic science educator and Penny Shrive, a passionate engineer and experienced presenter will guide you through hands-on activities that are sure to get you (and your students) thinking like engineers.

Planet Earth - 7:00pm

What can rocks, fossils and landforms tell us about Earth’s fascinating history? Explore our remarkable planet through the eyes of passionate geoscientists. Debbie Rheinstein, a science learning leader at Queen Elizabeth High School AND professional geologist by training will be joined by Darcie Greggs of the Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation to bring you a unique look at the wonders of our Earth. The Burgess Shale is one of the most rare and significant fossil sites in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a captivating case study for the Planet Earth unit.
