Kickstart presents Grant Writing for Disabled Artists (residing in British Columbia) Facilitated by grant writer MaryAnn Anderson.

Join us for a 2hr Grant Writing workshop focused for Artists who identify as disabled residing in British Columbia, Canada.

Grant writing can be incredibly daunting! In this 2hr digital workshop our goal is to set you up with knowledge and skills to help you tackle grants in a way that is straightforward and not overwhelming.

Learn where to apply; tips on scheduling the grant timeline; writing tips; info about accommodations granters have in place for disabled applicants and an opportunity to ask questions and tap into MaryAnn's insights and expertise!

ASL and Closed Captions will be provided.

FREE for Kickstart Members (membership will be confirmed upon registration*)

$10 for the general public OR purchase a membership to access other Kickstart workshops and programming for free!

Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture is a Vancouver based non-profit with a 22yr history of professionally supporting and promoting artists who identify as living with a disability. 


Kickstart’s mission is to produce and present works by artists with disabilities and to promote artistic excellence among artists with disabilities working in a variety of disciplines.

Our Objectives:

to encourage and support artists to create and present authentic interpretations of the disability experience;

to provide opportunities for the development and advancement of artists with disabilities; and


to promote practices that will make the arts more accessible to all members of the Canadian public.
