Event description

Description

This workshop, led by Anne Pringle, Cira Nickel, and Alex Gill from the Social Ventures Zone and Zone Learning, will provide a valuable overview of the important (yet sometimes stressful) grant writing process. Grants can provide the necessary seed funding for startups and this workshop will provide the tools to write successful grants.

This workshop will go over important things to keep in mind while writing a grant application, common mistakes seen in grant applications, examples of strong vs weak applications, what funders are looking for, and a broad look at the social impact funding landscape.

Cira will be providing an overview of awards and grants in the Zone Network and what each one is looking for. Most startups will find themselves positioned for applying for grants and awards that are only available to the Ryerson community!

Please let us help you learn the tools for successful grant writing!
