During the holiday season in December 2020, we will be running a 1 kilometre, fun and magical light experience that winds through the road at Gray's Creek. This is an event to bring joy and hope during the pandemic and which will promote one of our beautiful tourism assets for those who want to experience something different and safe during the holidays. The event will run on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.
For those without access to a car or who are unable to attend in person, a VR experience will be available for the community to view, through our website at www.holidaysparkle.ca.
This is how the drive-thru experience at Gray's Creek Holiday Sparkle will work:
🕑 You may enter at any time between your set time (in that hour), we encourage you not to show up early. We expect that's when the lineup will be longest.
🛣️ Entrance will be off Highway 2.
🚗 Attendees will drive into the parking lot and we'll have volunteers directing you from there.
🚦 The maximum speed along the road will be 15km/h and traffic will be one way.
⛔ No pedestrians will be allowed to walk along the roadway or on the trails during the event.
👋 Cars will exit from the Boundary Road entrance.
We expect the drive will take about 10 minutes and cars will be entering the road every 30 seconds to ensure lots of time to look and take pics. Please tag your photos with #holidaysparkle!
This event is safe for people to come from different regions to explore since they will not be getting our of the car and gathering in large crowds.
Our partners include the Raisin Region Conservation Authority, Cornwall Tourism, YourTV Cornwall and is being run by The experienCity Project, a program of SDC Cornwall.
