Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup - Iroquois Park Beach
Thu, 13 October 2016, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
We are inviting our Durham Partners in Project Green members to participate in cleaning up a portion of the Waterfront Trail in Whitby! Don't forget - the member that brings the most volunteers will recieve special PR on our social media channels and a certificate of recognition!
You can be a part of the 50 000 Canadians who annually participate in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup across the country. This cleanup empowers you to take action against shoreline litter, helping to promote healthy waterbodies and a healthy living community.
In 2015 this program was directly responsible for removing 26 283 kg of waste from Ontario shorelines and surrounding areas. This is a great way to get you and your staff out of the office and involved in a great cause! This just goes to show that small initiatives truly do add up to make a big difference!
There is parking at the corner of Gordon St. across from the Whitby Shores Center for Mental Health. We will meet as a group here at 9am for sign in and a quick debrief.
