Aaron Thornell
Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-operative (OREC)
and CoEnergy Ontario Co-operative
Community Energy Resiliency
Aaron will discuss how communities, and more specifically co-operatives, can make communities and regions more resilient in the face of climate change. Part of this will focus on using one's investment portfolio as a tool of environmental action/change.
About the speaker:
Aaron Thornell is the Communications Manager of the Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-operative and CoEnergy Co-operative. In this role, Aaron is responsible for member & investor relations, marketing, media relations, and more. He has a background in community development and history, completing a Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University. He has been with OREC since November of 2017.
