Green Energy Doors Open
Event Information
Description
Lambton College will be hosting it's fourth annual OSEA (Ontario Sustainable Energy Association) Green Energy Doors Event. Green Energy Doors Open is an opportunity to meet new people and find out first hand about the opportunities and benefits of sustainable energy in our local community.
Lambton College will be opening its doors to its biggest current green energy research project: Lambton Energy Research Centre (LERC). This year, LERC will show case projects within the centre, within it's satellite research centres and community based projects.
The Lambton Energy Research Centre aims to advance the research, development and commercialization of renewable energy management and optimization technologies. The Centre's Sustainable Smart House serves as an educational facility and testing laboratory for industrial partners pursuing research in renewable energy management and optimization, end-use hydrogen and fuel cells.
Confirmed Projects Include:
1. PV Thermal Hybrid System – Single tracker for generating electrical power and heating water from the sun
2. Novel Bio Generator Process – “Biological battery bank”
3. Screaming Power App – Enterprise mobile platform for energy utilities
4. Air@Work StatiqCooling – Sustainable data centre cooling and climate control
5. Oryon Watermill – Modular hydropower
6. GreenMoDEM – Waste derived biofuel
