About this event
This presentation is geared towards adults who are grieving or may know someone who is grieving during the COVID-19 pandemic. The presentation will focus on:
- providing some basic education about grief and adapting to loss
- the challenges to grieving in the present circumstances
- recommendations on what you can do to cope with your grief during this time, and
- practical suggestions on how to support someone you know who is coping with loss.
Webinar Presenter
Jennifer Jowlabar (M.A., C.C.C., R.P.) is the Bereavement Clinician with McNally House Hospice and the Niagara West Palliative Care Team in Grimsby, Ontario. She received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University in 2011, and completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver in 2015. She worked as an Addictions Counsellor with St. Leonard’s Community Services from 2015-2017. Jennifer was drawn to her work in grief as she began encountering loss stories in her addictions work and reflected on personal losses in her life. She has been in her current position as the Bereavement Clinician since 2017.
