Grief Peer Support

About this event

Our care partner support groups are designed to help educate care partners with up-to-date information that can help improve their quality of life, as well as the life of the person with dementia they are supporting. Our support groups provide a safe environment where everyone can learn, express, manage emotions, and help each other through mutual understanding and support. A Dementia Care Coach will be present to facilitate the group, answer questions and provide ongoing support.

In this support group, we hope to create a supportive community in grief through peer support. Peer support can improve coping strategies, resiliency, and isolation during challenging times.

Caregivers often experience many types of grief throughout the dementia journey: ongoing grief, anticipatory grief, complex grief and end of life grief. In this peer support group you will have the opportunity to meet others experiencing grief in Dementia, share your story, gain and give support, and learn more about the importance of grief in life.

The Grief Peer Support Group will be an ongoing event on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm.

Once you sign up, we will send you the link to join. All you need is a cell phone, landline, tablet, or computer. Having a webcam is a bonus so we can see each other.
