You are invited to an afternoon discussion session on the Groceries Code Adjudicator’s (GCA) performance and whether to extend the GCA’s remit.
The Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA) enforces the Groceries Code. It applies to the 10 largest UK supermarkets and their direct suppliers. The GCA Act requires the Government to review the performance of the GCA –and this first review covers the period from the creation of the GCA in June 2013 to 31 March 2016.
This event will provide you with more information and the opportunity to give your views on:
How the GCA has performed against the measures set out in the act and
Whether to extend the remit of the GCA to cover other suppliers and offer similar levels of protection.
The event will be run by experts from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) – who will also give advice on ‘how to give good evidence’ to make sure that your views are captured properly.
