Event description

Description

Grounded: Faith, Mission, And Caring for Creation is a conference to engage, encourage, and sustain creation care in the Christian Mission in Alberta. This conference explores what a Christian response to the environment should be. Participants will look at what scripture has to tell us about our relationship to the rest of creation, what God expects of his Church, and how through Jesus all things will be reconciled to God. The conference consists of a talk on Thursday night at Ambrose University, then morning and afternoon session on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th at the Samaritan's Purse.

The keynotes are Steven Bouma-Prediger and Leah Kostamu. Other speakers include Markku Kostamo, Ken Grey, Tom Greentree, Jeremy Bell, Norman LEvesque, and Joanne Beach. The conference will be a mix of talks, presentation, and small group discussion.

Grounded is being put on through a collaboratilon A Rocha Canada and Creation Care Calgary with the support of Ambrose University, the Anglican Diocese of Calgary, Canadian Baptists of Western Canada, Catholic Diocese of Calgary, and Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.
