Grounding Body and Voice Presence
Presented by the PoundsArt Channel (lbs/sq")
Inspired by scripted text and movement from the Apology Project performer/creator/teachers Kevin Ormsby and Gerry Trentham will explore with participants the way gravity within the body mirrors the weight of one’s intention. As performers within visual artist Kristen Colvin- Woodruff’s landscape of art works they climbed, fell, twisted, reached, descended and debated the weight of each moment as they fought to find language for their shame and voice an apology. The workshop will invite you into physical and vocal practices that lead to a deep and heartfelt apology that you have been carrying. You will have the opportunity to write, voice and move that sensation so it moves the “other” to hear more deeply and in turn leads the relationship to a potential realignment of power.
