Event description

Description

As a member of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, PWRDF is encouraging Anglicans in urban and rural areas to come together to put an end to hunger in the developing world. Growing Projects are a way for farmers to grow and sell crops, donating the proceeds to the Foodgrains Bank. Grow Hope is a way for churches, youth groups and other community groups to sponsor the inputs required to grow crops and learn about how farming works. We are actively promoting Anglican Growing and Grow Hope projects as a way to get involved and help raise the PWRDF equity in the Foodgrains Bank to support food assistance and food security projects around the world. This workshop is for farmers and church representatives who want to learn more about Grow Hope projects and how to get one off the ground. Cathy Campbell, PWRDF's liaison on the CFGB Board, and Dave Epp, the Foodgrains Bank rep for Ontario and Quebec, will be in attendance.
