Are you looking for the confidence and tools to run a successful business? Are you looking to strengthen your current business? Dr. Geoffrey T. Desmoulin, PhD, RKin, President of GTD Engineering, and host of televisions “Deadliest Warrior” is bringing his expertise in business management to a two day course where you will learn the foundations of a successful firm.


This two-day course provides a foundation in generating a business plan by teaching BCAK Practicing Kinesiologist the initial first steps for small business startups. The Instructor will incorporate academic material with experience as the President of a small successful firm.

Key components include

● Generating a business plan for a small business

● Establishing performance goals

● Fostering a healthy work culture between integrated systems and practice

● Increase company value

● Attracting and retaining clients

● Financial management;

● Cultivating business growth.

In addition attendees will learn about the impact of internal operations such as human

resources, staffing, and deciding on partners, mergers, and advisors when starting out.

Comprehending how insurance, liability, licensing, permits, and registrations affect plan

development. It will include recommended readings, and interactive groups. A guest speaker

will present on the successes and benefits of transitioning to a Business Leader in the Health

Sciences field.

Upon completion of this workshop, (attendees/students) will feel confident in navigating and overcoming the challenges of growing a small Canadian business or firm of a technical nature. They will have participated in lively discussions, produced in class assignments, and prepared presentations stimulating a true business mindset.

Course Delivery:

Verbal instruction, powerpoint, group discussion, and case scenarios. Note taking may be required.

Who Should Attend:

Kinesiologists, Registered Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Health Practitioners, and Health Sciences graduates. This course is not only for those passionate about starting a business, but for those with a business who are wanting to strengthen its foundation.

About the Instructor:

HLCol Geoffrey T. Desmoulin, PhD, RKin. (#2012080)

Dr. Desmoulin is the Principal and Senior Biomechanist of GTD Engineering (www.gtdengineering.com). GTD offers Biomechanical Consulting Services on behalf of clients throughout North America, as well as abroad. Focused practice areas include Injury Biomechanics, Incident Reconstruction and Physical Testing with a sub-specialty in the Science of Violence TM . GTD is retained in significant complex injury litigation cases and is contracted to perform injury related product investigations regularly.

In addition, Dr. Desmoulin was selected from an international pool of applicants to be the science and engineering host for Viacom Networks hit television show “Deadliest Warrior”. In this high-profile position he assessed engineering aspects and injury potential of weapons used throughout history. The series filmed thirty-three episodes (1-hour format) and continues to air throughout the world in over sixteen countries and thirty-two different languages.
