Building a thriving Community Garden involves putting people first. It’s more than building a foodscape, it’s about building healthy relationships with others. How might we utilize Circle, Open Space and World Café to create healthy relationships in a community garden? Come out and discover how to Grow “Community” in a garden.
This workshop is an introduction to community-building designs – World Café, Open Space & Circle – for group well-being, positive communication, and team engagement. For garden leaders looking to nurture positive relationships and a sense of community within an existing or envisioned community garden.

With eight years (+)community-building experience in various roles including Community Coordinator for environmental non-profits, volunteer board of director for grassroots communities – Laura has deeply explored “What is Community”, and “How do we create Healthy Communities?” A member of the Art of Hosting community, a Circle practitioner since 2004, and a former student of experienced Circle leaders (Way of Council, Circle Way). She studied Circle and its significance for Environmental Education as a Master’s thesis (2009-2011) and continues to find ways to utilize social processes for creating individual andcommunity well-being…For all us, all beings
