Event description

Description

Part of Growing Room 2019

We will discuss venturing into storylines, that are uncomfortable (because of social norms and voices in our heads which say—that isn’t proper). We will talk about fiction and character development and opening up creativity.

Instructor: Carol Rose Daniels
Venue: Native Education College
Date: Sunday, March 10, 2019, 10:30am – 2:30pm
Cost: $25

Workshop Recommendations
In addition to any items mentioned in workshop descriptions, we recommend that workshop attendees bring the following:

  • A warm sweater or blanket (especially if your workshop is at 24 West 4th Avenue: the building can be a little chilly!)
  • A meal or snack (bottled and tap water will be available at all workshops, and coffee will be available at the workshops held during the day on weekends)

The venue is wheelchair accessible and ASL interpretation is available by request before February 15, 2019. Detailed information about accessibility at Growing Room is available at: https://festival.roommagazine.com/venues-and-accessibility/.

Growing Room takes place on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territory of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish peoples.

Growing Room is made possible thanks to support from our major sponsors and partners: Canadian Heritage, the Canada Council of the Arts, the BC Arts Council, the City of Vancouver, Creative BC, the Access Copyright Foundation, The Georgia Straight, and Massy Books.
