About this event
The University of Guelph is proud to host hour-long tours of this year's Trial Garden Open House, August 13-14, 2020 at Guelph Turfgrass Institute (GTI).
NOTE: This is the last year for the Trial Garden at it's current location on Victoria Rd. Please come out and join us in wishing a fond farewell to the Trial Garden as we now know it. Take lots of pictures too! We hope to be putting together this coming fall and winter a photo scrapbook for the Trial Garden and would like to feature some of your favourite shots from over the years.
Important! - Online registration is required to attend the trial. Masks will need to be worn when visiting the trial site this year. We will not be handing out hard copies of plant lists this year but the plant is available for downloading.

NOTE: We are very happy to have been able to run this trial in the face of all of the Covid-19 restrictions and challenges this year. We hope that you will be able to join us and have a safe visit tour of these trials sometime in the coming week.
Our large, open, outdoor space allows ample room to comfortably browse this year's new plants while maintaining proper physical distance (6ft or 2 meters) from other visitors and staff. Please be mindful of this while browsing. Limited to 50 visitors in each of the time slots this will prevent the venue from becoming crowded during arrival and departure times. There is plenty of free parking, no touch registration and each visitor will receive sanitized flags to vote on their favourite new plants. Tours will be held as needed.
If you've never been to the Milton trial site, here is your opportunity. A separate open house is also running August 12-13 at the trial garden site at Landscape Ontario in Milton. You must register for each site independently.
